“Azerbaijan Has Discussed Prospects for Cooperation with the World Bank”
The current state and future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank have been discussed.
According to Startup.az, citing the Ministry of Economy, the discussions took place during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli and a delegation led by Sameh Naguib Wahba, Regional Director for Sustainable Development in the Europe and Central Asia region at the World Bank.
The meeting highlighted the socio-economic reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan, as well as the steps taken to improve the business and investment climate. The importance of cooperation with the World Bank and the Bank’s institutional and technical assistance in this regard was emphasized.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on ongoing joint projects between Azerbaijan and the World Bank, as well as on other issues of mutual interest.
