Which startup will represent Azerbaijan at Seedstars World? - PHOTOS
Winner of the Seedstars World competition, held by Azercell’s Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, are announced.
According to Xeberler.az, yesterday the local qualifying round of the Seedstars World competition, which is organized for Azerbaijani startups for the fifth time, has been held at ADA University with the support of PASHA Bank and US Embassy in Azerbaijan. It’s the 5th time that this com
"Wake Me Up" project of the Barama won the competition attended by ten top 10 startups of the Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that participants of the project are SABAH Group students.
“Wake Me Up" project will represent the country at the Seedstars Summit to be held in Switzerland in April 2018 and will compete for up to $1 million in equity investment.
According to this project, four young specialists are working on system that allows detecting employee sleeping during working time. Special transmitter should be fixed to eyeglasses. It allows analyzing eye blinks and accurately measuring their duration. That is how the system detects that person is going to sleep. For the time being, the project team has prepared a prototype. If everything goes well then many lives of people who drive or work in dangerous environment will be saved.
"TechSos" and "Buglance" took the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
In addition, it should be noted that last time Azerbaijan was represented by Kvotter project in the Seedstars World.
