A regular meeting of the Expert Council established at the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) for the issuance of “Startup” certificates has been held.

Startup.az reports that the meeting reviewed 12 applications submitted by SME entities, and a decision was made to grant “Startup” certificates to 9 of them.

“Startup” certificates were issued for the following projects: an AI-based analytics and digital solutions project for the oil and gas industry by Mountai Group LLC; software development and production for humanoid robots by JFB Tech LLC; an online casting platform by Castingaz LLC; a marketplace for travel and tourism services by Smile Tour LLC; an EU-supported digital marketing platform by Markpro Group LLC; an online social entrepreneurship platform by Buta Xidmət LLC; an AI-based tourism platform by Afghan Mehdikhanov; an EU-supported digital customer loyalty platform by Nurlan Kurbanov; and an online management platform based on the “Agile” model by Seymur Rzayev.

The “Startup” certificate exempts SME entities from profit and income taxes on revenues generated from innovative activities for a period of three years from the date the certificate is granted.

Micro and small business entities whose projects are at the development stage may apply to KOBIA for a “Startup” certificate. The application form, required documents, and detailed information on the relevant criteria are available at the following link:
