Seedstars World comes to Baku - A chance to win USD 1 mln
Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, is coming to Azerbaijan for the 5th time.
According to Xeberler.az, this year’s event will be organized on May 3 at ADA University by the Barama Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Center with support of Azercell LLC, PASHA Bank and US Embassy. Azerbaijan’s best seed-stage startups will compete to represent the country at the Seedstars World competition.
Ten best startups of Azerbaijan will compete to represent the country at the Seedstars World competition and win up to USD 1 million in equity investment.

In line with its mission to place the spotlight on entrepreneurs from emerging markets, Seedstars World is travelling to more than 65 countries this year to identify the best seed-stage entrepreneurs and to provide an opportunity to win up to USD 1 million in equity investment.

The head of the Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship, local organizer of the event and Seedstars ambassador Mr Imran Bagirov has noted that Seedstars is a global all-round platform providing great opportunities for entrepreneurs and different investors, market players and others.
“The main goal of this competition is pay attention and support the entrepreneurs of emerging markets. This competition creates great chance for local startups to enter the global market and demonstrate capacities. Every year 10 best startups of Azerbaijan will get an opportunity to represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland”.
Through different activities of startup scouting, company building and acceleration programs, the team has now access to entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, corporations and government officials from over 60 countries.
