Nine more applications have been submitted to KOBİA for Startup Certificates
Startup.az reports that nine more applications from SME entities seeking to obtain a “Startup” certificate have been submitted to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy.
The applications were reviewed at a meeting of the Expert Council, and a decision was made to grant “Startup” certificates to eight of them.
The “Startup” certificates were issued for the following projects: a video game in the entertainment genre for the “Steam PC” platform by individual entrepreneur Rashad Ibrahimli; production of video games under the “85 Games Studio” brand by Sarkhan Abbaszade; “Inframed Life” – an online management system for clinics by Ilkin Suleymanov; “Jupiter” co-op adventure video game by Yahya Ismayilov; “Meetra” – an online meeting room management platform by Hasan Hasanov; “Special Meat” – a computer game combining simulation and management genres by Ilkin Aliyev; “Qrgate” – a QR code-based attendance control and access management platform by Proveb LLC; and “Profmart” – an online services platform for professionals by Profmart LLC.
The issued “Startup” certificates exempt SMEs from profit or income tax on revenues obtained from the relevant innovative projects for a period of three years.
To date, KOBİA has granted “Startup” certificates to 255 micro and small entrepreneurs.
Micro and small business entities whose projects are in the development stage may apply to KOBİA for a “Startup” certificate. The application form, required documents, and detailed information on relevant criteria can be found at the following link: https://smb.gov.az/az/nav/startap-sehadetnamesi
