Kankəndidə “Startup School” keçirilib
A “Startup School” project has been organized in Karabakh, in Khankendi, through the joint initiative of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), its “Enterprise Azerbaijan” and “Azexport” portals, as well as the Karabakh Training Center.
According to Startup.az, the main objective of the project was to promote entrepreneurship and startup initiatives, as well as innovation- and investment-oriented projects in the liberated territories. It also aimed to enhance practical knowledge and skills in digital trade and project management.
The event brought together faculty members and students from Karabakh University and Baku Business University, entrepreneurs, and representatives of industrial park residents. Speakers highlighted the importance of initiatives supporting innovative entrepreneurship in the region.
During the sessions, participants were informed about tax incentives in the region, employment programs, digital platforms available for startups and export-oriented businesses, access to international markets, university-industry cooperation, and human capital development.
Later, training sessions were conducted on “Innovative entrepreneurship and startup activities” and “Digital trade and the services of the Azexport portal,” delivered by representatives of CAERC.
In the second half of the day, startup projects were presented and discussed. Participants received recommendations for further development and benefited from mentorship support. Around 50 participants took part in the training and mentoring sessions, and those who successfully completed the program were awarded certificates.
It is worth noting that the “Startup School – Karabakh” project is aimed at fostering an innovative entrepreneurship environment in the region, supporting local initiatives, and ensuring sustainable economic development. Discussions are currently ongoing regarding the continuation of the project.
