The U.S. economy is developing with virtually no inflation, which stood at 1.2% over the past three months.
Startup.az reports, citing Report, that U.S. President Donald Trump made this statement during his speech at the signing ceremony of the Peace Council Charter in Davos.
“We inherited the worst inflation in the history of our country, but now economic growth stands at 5.4%, and if we act correctly, this figure could double or even triple,” he emphasized.
According to Trump, the United States has attracted more than $18 trillion in new investments, marking a record figure that far surpasses previous levels. “No country in history has come close to achieving such numbers,” he said.
He noted that foreign investors would gain significant benefits from investing in the U.S. economy: “Many of you are investing in our country, and I believe you will be extremely satisfied with your investments. You will see figures you have never seen before.”
Trump also highlighted that the U.S. trade deficit has decreased by 77% within a year and that the country has signed historic trade agreements with partners around the world. “As the United States grows, the entire world grows,” he concluded.
