Another 8 SMEs have been granted the “Startup” certificate
Eleven more applications from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been submitted to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy to obtain the “Startup” certificate.
According to Startup.az, the applications were reviewed during a meeting of the Expert Council, and a decision was made to grant the “Startup” certificate to eight of them. With this, the total number of SMEs that have received the “Startup” certificate has reached 263.
The certificates were awarded for several innovative projects, including an AI-based gift search and sales platform by “Imza Idea Lab” LLC, a digital platform for buying, selling, and storing gold by “Baysart” LLC, a cloud-based digital clinic management system by “NM Soft” LLC, and an AI-based enterprise resource planning platform by “SALAMXPERT” LLC.
Other certified projects include an online marketplace for gold and jewelry products developed by “AL Digital” LLC, a VPN service under the “VmV App” brand by “TTC Service” LLC, a digital cargo transportation platform by “Narchin” LLC, and a mobile application for online legal services by “RR Company” LLC.
The “Startup” certificate exempts SMEs from profit and income taxes on revenues generated from innovation activities for a period of three years starting from the date the certificate is issued.
Micro and small business entities whose projects are at the development stage can apply to SMBDA for the “Startup” certificate. Detailed information on the application form, required documents, and eligibility criteria is available at: https://startup.az/attorney.html.
