Azerbaijani Startups Participate in Silicon Valley May Summit 2026
From May 19 to 21, the “Silicon Valley May Summit 2026” was held at the headquarters of Plug and Play in Sunnyvale, California. The three-day event brought together more than 300 startups from 17 different industry programs, over 4,000 participants, corporate partners, and investors.
This year’s summit focused on key topics including artificial intelligence, fintech, deep technologies, cybersecurity, mobility, industrial supply chains, and semiconductor solutions.
On May 20, Azerbaijani startups took the stage at the “Global Startup Showcase,” a platform featuring innovative companies from around the world. Their participation was made possible through the GOAL program, implemented in partnership between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) and Plug and Play.
Five Azerbaijani startups — Glacies Biome, Bonfi, Recepta, Pixelfork, and Pionero AI — presented their solutions to an international audience in the fields of biotechnology, healthcare, and artificial intelligence.
Among them, Pionero AI earned a special opportunity to pitch on the main Showcase stage after winning the “Shark Tank” session held several weeks earlier. The startup delivered its presentation to investors on May 20.
The event not only increased the visibility of Azerbaijani startups on the global stage but also created new opportunities for their integration into the Silicon Valley ecosystem, as well as for attracting international investment and establishing corporate partnerships.
