Azerbaijan startups strengthen ties with the Silicon Valley ecosystem

With the partnership between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the innovation company “Plug and Play,” the winning startups of the GOAL program have held meetings in Silicon Valley.

In this context, discussions took place between Azerbaijani startups and Saed Amiri, CEO of “Plug and Play.” The meetings focused on startup development, investment opportunities, access to international markets, and integration into the Silicon Valley ecosystem. During the sessions, Azerbaijani startups also presented their solutions and products.

Program participants are also meeting with various teams across different divisions of “Plug and Play.” Next week, the startups will take part in the “Silicon Valley Summit,” where they will present on the “Global Startup Showcase” stage and showcase their products to an international audience in exhibition areas.

The program also includes visits and events such as “Hyundai Innovation Day,” “LinkedIn,” “Odoo,” and the “San Jose AI Center of Excellence Expo.” It is also noted that the Azerbaijani startup “Pionero AI” won the “Shark Tank” session, earning the opportunity to present to investors at the “Global Startup Showcase.”

Overall, six Azerbaijani startups have qualified for the GOAL program (“Glacies Biome,” “Enduropy,” “Bonfi; Recepta,” “Pixelfork,” and “Pionero AI”). The ongoing program includes participation in investor sessions, discussions with corporate representatives, pitch simulations in front of investors, and various international networking events.

The aim of the GOAL program is to support the international recognition of the local innovation ecosystem, the representation of Azerbaijani startups on global platforms, and the promotion of the country’s innovation potential. Within the project, startups gain international experience, present their products and services to a global audience, and obtain potential investment and partnership opportunities. At the same time, the program helps participants develop skills in investor pitching, business development, corporate collaboration, and access to international markets.
