Agency Chairman: “INNOLAND” Has Fostered Over 300 Startups

In 2021, we launched this project under the title “Skills for the Future.” The initiative was supported by all leading universities across the country. Innovation and digitalization play a leading role in today’s world. Digital solutions have already become a part of our lifestyle, and this is a global trend. We can proudly say that Azerbaijan is one of the driving forces behind this global trend.

According to Startup.az, this was stated by Ülvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during his speech at the “Demo Day” event of the IV “TUSI” incubation program organized within the framework of the ASAN xidmət “Skills for the Future” project.

Ülvi Mehdiyev noted that innovation and technology are reflected in the economy and industrial sectors. “However, when the use of modern technologies in governance and the provision of transparent and accessible services to citizens were not widely discussed globally, the foundation of the ‘ASAN xidmət’ model was laid in Azerbaijan by İlham Əliyev. Today, we see the success of this model beyond the country, as several nations study and implement it.

To support startups, we established the ‘INNOLAND’ Incubation and Acceleration Center. The name was not chosen randomly. This center aims to transform oil capital into human capital. Of course, establishing centers like ‘INNOLAND’ is only a small part of the work. The main issue is generating ideas and turning them into value. With the support of universities, mentor programs were launched, and significant steps have been taken within this project to transform knowledge into business. Since 2023, the ‘INNOLAND’ center has fostered more than 300 startups,” the Agency Chairman emphasized.
