Afrika 2026-cı ildə iqtisadi artım tempinə görə dünya lideri olacaq

In 2026, most of the world’s fastest-growing economies, with gross domestic product (GDP) growth exceeding 6%, will be African countries.

Startup.az reports, citing Africanews, that countries such as Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia are expected to post growth rates of over 7%, while South Sudan and Guinea are projected to achieve double-digit GDP growth driven by a boom in oil and mineral extraction.

At the same time, experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warn that Africa must pay close attention to negative factors such as the impacts of global warming, political instability, and high levels of external debt.

In 2026, African countries are expected to pay nearly USD 95 billion to creditors. Countries like Kenya may have to allocate up to 20% of their budget expenditures to servicing external debt. Despite inflows of foreign investment, some countries, such as the Central African Republic, remain among the least electrified nations in the world.
