The “Open Day” was held within the framework of the “Startup School 4: Five Continents – 500 Startups” global innovation program, implemented by the Enterprise Azerbaijan portal of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. Representatives of the startup ecosystem and relevant fields from higher education institutions took part in the event.

According to Startup.az, the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the scope, objectives, and opportunities offered by the program, as well as to gather feedback and suggestions from ecosystem participants.

Head of the portal Isa Gasimov noted that the “Demo Day” of the “Startup School 4” program is planned to be held on October 30–31 this year at the Baku Congress Center, jointly with the “TEI Forum 2026” business and trade forum. He added that the 50 most promising startups selected within the program will be provided with exhibition stands at the forum, enabling them to establish direct connections with investors and entrepreneurs.

During the event, project manager Aydan Huseynzade provided detailed information about the program’s contributions to the development of the startup ecosystem, including professional training and mentorship services, commercialization of innovative ideas, and access to global markets. It was highlighted that the program involves startups from five continents and supports their development in collaboration with international partners.

The meeting also featured discussions on expanding cooperation between universities, startups, and business entities. Particular focus was placed on strengthening startups’ connections with the real sector, integrating the “Demo Day” stage into the practical business environment, and increasing investment opportunities.

It was noted at the end that the registration process for the “Startup School 4” program will close on May 15, marking the final opportunity for startups to apply.
