Opportunities Expand for the Integration of Azerbaijani Startups into the Global Innovation Ecosystem

New opportunities are being created to expand the connections of Azerbaijani startups with international investors, mentors, corporate partners, and global innovation networks.

Startup.az reports that Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), made the remarks during the “Plug and Play × IDDA – Industry Challenge” innovation workshop held in Baku on September 2.

F. Osmanov said that, within the framework of the GOAL program implemented by IDDA and “Plug and Play,” six Azerbaijani startups have been selected to participate in the program to be held in Silicon Valley. The startups will have the opportunity to establish connections with international venture capital funds, mentors, corporate partners, and innovation networks.

He noted that IDDA’s participation in the “Microsoft for Startups Investor Network” program also contributes to expanding the technological capabilities of local startups: “So far, 18 startups have been provided with special referral codes to benefit from the program. Eligible startups can benefit from Azure cloud credits, artificial intelligence infrastructure and services, GitHub Enterprise, LinkedIn, Visual Studio Enterprise, technical support, and consultations with Microsoft engineers.”
